We are committed to ensuring our communities benefit from our growth and have created engaging and purposeful opportunities for people of Ngadju heritage to work with us at the Nova nickel-copper-cobalt Operation, located in the Fraser Range region of Western Australia. We also offer hands-on fieldwork opportunities through our extensive Exploration programs.
Various roles are available to suit all levels of experience, including our entry level two-year Ngadju Employment Traineeship Program which empowers trainees to choose their own path, achieving their definition of success with the support of IGO.
The flexible approach to our Ngadju Employment Traineeship Program allows candidates more choice to tailor the program to suit their individual needs with both drive-in drive-out (DIDO) and fly-in fly-out (FIFO) opportunities.
“I have enjoyed my role working in Administration, and particularly appreciate the great team that I am a part of and how well we get along. Everyone on site is so genuine and nice, and the traineeship has really allowed me to learn and build my confidence. I’ve also signed up for my Cert III in Business Administration which is a great opportunity for me to further develop my skills. If you’re considering applying for the traineeship, I’d say just do it! It will be the best decision of your life and will allow you to get your foot in the door to learn more about mining and how it all fits in with the community.”

“My favourite part of the traineeship has been being able to try different roles to get a better idea of what I ultimately want to do. When I first started, I thought I would end up in Exploration, but I have since gotten into Maintenance and have found that I really enjoy it. I would strongly encourage you to apply for the traineeship and have a crack – it’s not every day that you get an opportunity like this, there is a bright future ahead for you at IGO!.”
